Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, on Monday, April 16, 2018, in his 84th year. Jim is survived by his sister Mary Johnson, his nephew Jonas Heater, his niece Nicole Heater, and predeceased by his beloved parents Grace & George Nuttall.

Jim was a Scoutmaster for 60 years, a Group Commissioner of 1st Newmarket Scouts, a lifetime member of the Salvation Army, a recipient of the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship, the Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Canada 150 Medal for volunteer service. In 2012 Jim was honoured to be the Senior Citizen of the Year for the Province of Ontario and in 1995 Jim was the honoured to be Newmarket's Citizen of the Year.

Visitation will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at the Northridge Community Church of the Salvation Army, 15338 Leslie Street, Aurora, on Friday, April 20, 2018, at 1 p.m. Interment to take place at Newmarket Cemetery at a later date.
