Obituary for Godfrey Junior Simpson

Godfrey Junior Simpson
SIMPSON, Godfrey Junior - Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 54 years of age. Beloved husband of Kim and dear father of Jason (Nadine), Quentin and Tyler. Loving grandpa of Keisaun, Major and Joiya. He is survived by his siblings Rupert, Ceceila, Jean, Carl (Gwen), Keith (Georgia), Robert and Clarissa and predeceased by his brother Alphanso (Sylena) and his parents Kenneth and Eunice. Godfrey coached soccer for Lake Simcoe Soccer Club as well as basketball for YNBA and IEM. He enjoyed nothing more in life than being a coach - not only to his sons, but to every boy that he had the pleasure of coaching, it meant so much to him. He was truly a person who touched everyone who met him and will sorely be missed by so many friends, family and coworkers and his extended basketball family. Visitation will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at the Christian Baptist Church, 135 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Queensville Cemetery. Our hearts will ache every single day and we will miss you every single day but we will do our best to honour you. You taught our boys kindness, respect and self-worth. I will carry on to complete what you had set out to do in raising our precious sons to be the men you would be proud of. You were a true, gentle spirit. I love you with all my being - Kim.
